Good Day,

I would like to check the contents of a particular directory and find out which documents there are stale; comparing against the cvs documents base.

Is it possible?

Many thanks,
Dan

Hi All,

When I run the cvs diff command, it shows me that it scans the subdirectories and I guess it has nothing to report. Right?

E:\IntraspectKM\customerTemplates>cvs diff
cvs server: Diffing .
cvs server: Diffing BrainBox
cvs server: Diffing HybridsExoticsSales
cvs server: Diffing HybridsNET
cvs server: Diffing NewHNet
cvs server: Diffing dev
cvs server: Diffing iNtra
cvs server: Diffing oldWorkflow

Regards,
Dan

Code:
cvs -n update

Simulates an update, without changing any files.

Good Day,

The 'cvs -n update' command works perfectly well for the source code on Staging where cvs is installed. Now, I would like to compare the source code in production against the cvs repository. I copied the files from production to Staging and ran the 'cvs -n update' command.

I got the following error:

cvs update: in directory .:
cvs [update aborted]: there is no version here; run 'cvs checkout' first

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Dan
