How do I check and see if my CPU is running at the proper multiplier for its rated speed?

I am running an AMD 2500+(I think its Barton-it's supposed to be) on an ASUS A7N8X 333Mhz motherboard with the nForce2 bios.

Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Vurk

The multiplier is locked on the CPU unless you use a circumventing procedure to "unlock" the CPU, which from the sounds of your post you did not do, so, it is in fact, at the proper multiplier.

The only thing you really need check is the bus speed in the BIOS and make sure it says 166 (or sometimes it might show 333, but rarely).

Cheers!

Ah, I have to disagree about the locked cpu multiplier. Most Athlon's are not locked. I have a 2600 and it is not.
Either way look at the boot screen when it first starts, if it does not show there go into the bios and look there.
Also Aida32 or Sandra can help to tell you what it is set at.

The NForce board "unlocks" the multiplier. You should be able to change it in "Advanced Settings" in the BIOS.
