Hi. Bizarre problem...I have a form with a bunch of different fields, one of which is a checkbox. All of the other fields can be edited, but when I try to check the checkbox, I get that little "error ding" sound and nothing happens. The "allow edits" for the form is set to yes, and for the checkbox itself, enabled = yes, and locked = no. I'm pretty novice, but I didn't think I was *that* clueless...

are you populating the form with a query?

if so the query might not let you populate that fields maybe because of relationship conficts.

Try opening the form's recordsource table or query. (If the Record Source property is an SQL statement, copy it and create a query, switch to SQL view, paste, and then switch to Datasheet View). Can the check box be updated there? If so, the problem is in your form control. If not, paste the query SQL here.
