Using Access 2002 I have a report that shows a checkbox that is either checked or unchecked. When I click on the word icon to export it the checkbox doesn't show up. I thought perhaps it was the format rft and I tried changing it to doc but still no luck.

Any help would be nice.
Thanks

The problem IS to do with the Rich Text Format (RTF) which doesn't hand graphical constructs (e.g. check-boxes, dividing lines, etc) very well. Opening the RTF in Word and then changing to DOC will not resolve the probelm as the repotr has already been exported.

You have a few options:

1. In your report, replace the checkbox with a text-box bound to the same field. Format this as either Yes/No or True/False - then the words yes/no or true/false will appear in your report, both in Access and the exported RTF.

2. Export to Access Snapshot format (SNP) - this will be viewable to everyone with Access Snapshot Viewer but is read-only.

3. Get a free PDF writer. These look like print queues, so you can sent the report to them by "printing" - you get a nice PDF version of the report which pretty much anyone can read, as long as they have Acrobat Reader. Try or for these. Of course, PDFs are read-only too.

Hope this helps.
