checkbox not show check mark

I have a several check boxes in a grid and for some reason one of them does not display the check mark until it has focus but the others show the check mark whether they have focus or not. I have compared all three check boxes and they appear to have the same setting. I want all three to display either the check mark or a empty check box even if they don't have focus. What am I missing?

It sounds like you need to adjust the Sparse property of the column holding the checkbox. Set it .F. to see the values in all rows, regardless of which one has focus.
