Check Voicemail Remotely

I have a client with a IP Office 500 V2 with embedded voicemail. When callers call in, a group of phones ring and then they are directed to a hunt group mailbox. From outside of the office calling in is it possible to break out of the hunt group mailbox message and check the messages that have been left in the mailbox?

Nope. Not with Embedded. Hunt groups don't have a break out. Some options are to overflow the hunt group to an Auto Attendant and have an action off that attendant to check messages or set-up voicemail to email with the hunt group.

Seems to me you could use the System\Voicemail tab breakout settings to go to *17. But can't say I have tested it with hunt groups.

The system tab doesn't work with hunt groups unless that has recently been changed.

Just use ICR to get the call to VM, works for every version, unless you're crippled by 1800s analogue lines
