I am trying to create a little interface that will allow a student to select, a test, done in Question Mark, so I will be jumping to an executible, Quit... that's easy, and then Jump to an index.htm file. The problem is... I don't know how to check for the browser. If IE, tell authorware to run Internet Explorer and the file name, if Netscape, tell authorware to run Netscape and the filename. Any suggestions?

Thanks, Diane

Is there a reason you need to know which program they have. You could use the Launch Default Broswer knowledge object or just just a jumpout -- JumpOut("", "index.html")

If you really need to know, for some specific setting something, you could use a function in Buddy API called FindApp() which will find the program associated with the specified file type.
