Question: how would you guys setup a bartender situation in Aloha. Right now, we have two bartenders who share a common terminal and generic employee. This way they share the sales and the tips, without having checks under their own name. I have noticed that if you check share, the person who opens the check gets the sales on their checkout. I would like to get away from having the shared employee, but would need the sales divided properly during their work hours. How do you guys deal with this? How about tips? These would need to be split properly as well.

Using Aloha 6.7.31 table service, Menulink 12.3.

Does Aloha have any kind of reporting by terminal? If it does that may be the way to go.

I am wanting to setup the POS so 2 bartenders can share checks and sales plus have the tips distributed properly. While testing check sharing, the person who opened the check is the one who gets the sales attached to their checkout - even if the other bartender rang in sales or closed the check for that guest. This could cause one bartender to have 75% of the sales, and the 2nd bartender to not have to claim as much in tips due to having such a small sales report. I would also need the tips they accumulate to also be properly distributed between the bartenders.

Reports won't do much since this needs to affect their checkout at the end of the night.
