Check Printer Status

Hello All,
I want to check Printer ready or not(including the printer cable is connected). I've searched all threads about printer status in this Forum and try the codes. But it still can't check Status of printer, for example, when I disconnect the printer cable, or network cable(for network printer), it still said the printer is Ready and start print, although later report error: This Document not Print. Any one can give me direction.

You should be able to use WMI to get what you need. Try digging around in here:
