Check mail upon open - Outlook 2003

Hi all,

I've just had a thorough look around Outlook 2003 and I'll be darned if I can find a setting that will have Outlook automatically check for new mail when I open it!?

I'm a new convertee from Outlook Express and I'm a bit lost in all the Outlook options! LOL

At present I have to use the Send/Receive button to get new mail - I would like to have it checked automatically

Click on tools then options, select the mail setup tab. There is a check box under the send / receive section, make sure it's ticked.
Also, click on the send / receive button and you can set Outlook to send / receive at regular intervals, or on disconnect if you desire.
