Check In something someone else checked out

I have just taken over administration for a system, the previous admin had a couple of items checked out of VSS 6.0 that now need to be checked back in. He is no longer with the company. Is there anyway that I can get these files checked back in?

As administrator, you should be able to use the undo checkout option even if someone else has the files checked out. However, if he/she's made local modifications these files these will not be included in the checked in files.
