Check for existance of file/object ID

Hi,

I'm trying to figure out a way to detect the file:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\MSORun\MSORUN.DLL

On a user's computer.

It's used for web presentations created in Microsoft Producer. If the user doesn't have it installed when they try to view the presentation, it prompts them to download it, which then opens up a microsoft.com webpage (

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...A-24C7-40B2-8783-D80ADA33CFF8&displaylang=en)

for the user to download it. That would be fine normally, but the website that I'm doing this for works on a pre-paid credit basis, and once the user gets taken to the microsoft.com page, they cannot go back to the presentation they've tried to view, so a credit has been burnt without them seeing anything. Unfortunately, we are stuck using MS Producer, and no alternatives are even being considered at the moment.

Does anybody have any ideas how I can check for the existance of the file I listed above, or how to check for OBJECT ID "msoanim" - That's what it calls itself when the object is inserted into one of the published presentations.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I hope that post made enough sense to be understood correctly.

Oh, before you waste too much time on this problem, I may have found a .. messy .. solution by hacking apart the producer file itself. I'm going to edit the detection script it uses, and have a fiddle. If I work it out, I'll post it again.

If you've already got a solution, please let me know though
