Cheap tool to monitor employee internet usage

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can monitor 50 employees and keep my costs down?

you can put a linux or windows box inline (behind the ISP) and download some freeware monitoring tool. check out

for some decent tools. or if you can span a port, that would work as well

If your bughet is limited, I think Colasoft Capsa Network Analyzer is the best choice for you. It monitors network traffic&bandwidth usage, and provides network analysis, email monitor,IM miniotr,etc.
