Hello everyone,
Any help anyone can give on this topic will be greatly appreciated. To start off with: I'm running on Win98 and using Sun's SDK 1.4. Here goes:
I have managed to set up my classpath so that I can compile with Charva and everything. The only problem is that when I try to run the program, I get an "Exception in thread main" error. I checked the charva.log file and it said "java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no Terminal in java.library.path"
When I checked the Charva FAQ for more information, it mentions a solution to this problem for both UNIX and Linux, but no windows solution. I then received an email from someone who has successfully ported Charva to windows. He says that I need to set my classpath with the directory that my "terminal.dll" is in.
Unfortunately, I don't have a terminal.dll program. I have looked and looked on the Internet for a program named terminal.dll. I guess I might have misunderstood him. I'm hoping someone here has gotten this to work in Windows. If so, please tell me where I can get this terminal.dll.
As a community service, I will post my procedure on how to get Charva to work on Windows once I'm done since nothing like it currently exists. I figure there will be other lost souls (just like me) looking for this information in the future.
Thanks,
Raven Marz
