Charting Formula values?

I'm having an issue I was hoping someone could solve when it comes to charts.

Is it possible to chart values stored in shared variables? I cannot seem to get any options to chart information other than that from a database field. I can't even seem to bring in values from formulas.

I have a couple of key computations in my report, which aren't stored in database fields. These computations vary depending on parameters and conditions. I want to create pie charts and show the percentage of a pie from shared-variable x versus shared-variable y.

Is this possible? If so, how?

Thanks for any insight you can provide!

Are you using shared variables to return values from a subreport? I just want to first make sure there is a reason for using shared variables.

Cheers,

I'm using Shared Variables... This is because I couldn't get any GLOBAL variable to actually be "global" between multiple "gruops" on the main report.

I have two "groups", and am doing calculations between the first and second groups. The shared variables have all their necessary data by the time the group-1 footer is ready to print. This is where I'd like chart (or even in the group-1 header if possible).

Thanks
