Hi,

I need to calculate a rolling 12 figure for each month of my report - i.e. the sum of the previous 12 monthly figures. (Each of these monthly figures is itself a summarised field).

With these rolling 12 numbers (which I have calculated using an array) I need to calculate a trend function. I have calculated this using another array. My problem is that I then need to produce a chart of the trend over the period of my report, but CR9 doesn't seem to give me the functionality to do this.

I have been wrestling with this problem for a few weeks now. Any help would be appreciated!

Many thanks

J

Hello
I battled with this problem for weeks but was unable to find an answer in crystal...it only stores the latest entry when doing running totals...
Of course, that doesn't neccessarily mean that it can't be done...just that I couldn't do it...
I ended up exporting the data to excel and using excel to calculate and chart the rolling averages...
It wasn't as pretty as Crystal, but it got the job done and I would probably still be working on this if I hadn't exported it to another program...
Maybe this can work for you as well?
Best of luck!
B~

Any way you can map the values in the array to a set of formulas then chart on those?

Just an idea, not too sure if it would work.

This is a relatively easy problem - go to the BO Support site and draw down article called - cr9_charting_print_time_formulas. This doco has the solution you are looking for.

I use it all the time and it works fine.
