Chart legend text

I have a chart that compares the sales for multiple years. I also have the sales goals on this chart for the current year. In order to track the goals for the year I have created a false date of 1/1/3000 in the records of the goals. This seems to work okay for showing the goals next to the current sales but at the in the legend it says 2006 for the current year and 3000 for the goal. Is there a way to change the legend to say "goal" or is there a better way of doing this?

I've found the chart feature is fairly UNFLEXIBLE when it comes to this stuff and need work arounds.

I usually place my charts in a report and if need be simply remove the legend and create your own legend right below the chart. You may even be able to carefully place your own legend on top of the chart through experimentation...
