When I create a chart it looks fine in the "preview" but does not come out the same after I click Finish.

Any reason why this would happen.

Everything is different including the legend AND the data. When I look into the graph it shows East, North, West, and South. Along the top it shows 1Q, 2Q, 3Q and 4Q. But the data is ALL changed.

The North, South, East, West thing is MS Access "template" of your chart. To better see what you are working with in DESIGN VIEW, do this:

Open the Row Source of the report; run the query or table to get it's datasheet view.

Select the entire datasheet view. Hit CTRL+C (Copy)

Go back to the chart. Double-click it. In the datasheet of the chart, click the upper-left square (makes the whole thing turn black which means it's SELECTED). Hit ctrl+v (paste). now your design view of your chart will be your actual data, not the Access template data. See if this helps.

PERFECT!!!!!!!!!
I felt like such a noob asking that question. :D
Now for another noob question.
How do I change the "heading" so that it does not display
the name of the query but whatever I choose it to be.

You mean "newbie"? Experience doesn't matter--I don't think there's much written about charts.

As for the HEADING, do you mean the "Chart Title"? I always clear that out and never use it. Instead I put a text box on the report and make it say whatever I want. That way you can use code to change it to what you want each time.
