Hi,

I am using Crystal Reports XI. My report shows count of members for each status per month.

I did show the counts on change of Month which is a formula that returns the month part of the status date.

My chart displays it as 1.00, 2.00, etc..

I want it to display Jan, Feb, Mar.

Or atleast format the number to 1 , 2, 3.

How can I do this?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks,
rrgkanth.

In the Chart Expert, use the {Status Date} as the "On Change Of".
Click on the {Status Date} in the "On Change Of" box, and you'll see the "Order" button come alive.
Click on the "Order" button, and select "for each month" from the drop down list for "The section will be printed:"

Thanks Bob.

It comes up as 1/2005, 2/2005 etc instead of 1.0, 2.0.

But I would still like to show it as Jan, Feb, Mar. How can that be done?

Thanks,
rrgkanth

OK, try this instead . . .
1.) Create a formula called ShortMonth

@ShortMonth
MonthName (Month({Orders.Order Date}),True )

2.) In the Chart Expert, change the "On Change Of" to this new formula.

3.) Click on the @ShortMonth in the "OnChangeOf" box.

4.) Click on the Order button, and choose "In Specified Order" from the drop down list.

5.) Order your months (ie Jan, Feb, Mar, etc. )

Bob..

Thanks a lot. Works perfectly. I had tried to group by the Month name, but it didnt strike me to use the specified order sort.

Thanks.
