Character Limit on forwarded messages

I've got a request to setup a rule to forward an email to a users cell phone when it comes from specific users. That's easy, they also want to limit the message to the first 50 characters or just to be notified that they have recieved email from one of the specified users. Anyone know of how to accomplish this?

Email Server: Exchange 2003
Email client: Outlook 2003

Create a rule that replies using a specific template. Make sure the template is less than 50 characters.
