chapter name and number on top of each page

On each page of a chapter of a book I want to see - on top left - the name and the number of the chapter and the name of the section.

- the name of the chapter seems difficult, to pick it up every page from the first page of the chapter, where the name is.

Also I want to pick-up the name and subtitle of the book itself on each page. The source for this is on page 1 of every chapter.
How can one pick this up on every page, other then placing it on every masterpage manually.

Too hard to type explaination...

Look at Type>Type variables this will do what you want.

It will, for example let you set your running head on you master page with a tag like<RunningHead> but populate that field from somewhere else, like table of contents, or chapter title etc...
