Another news message in another year.
Tell your NEC dealer to beat Avaya with proper software instead of backstabbing another brand.
I do not like this kind of actions.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Sadly this is kind of the way of the world (or at the very least of America) nowadays. You don't beat your competitors by improving what you do, you beat them by pointing out your competition's issues.

Just like the elections.
All i saw was making the other one look bad.

The sad thing is the Avaya IPO can't be beat by anything NEC puts out. NEC is close to selling their products in Walmart stores. With a free pair of pantyhose.

I have still an old Avaya IPO SOE with R4.2 and that is about as far with features as a new NEC system so they better not charge the same price that a real phone system costs. NEC can barely handle SIP trunks and programming is horrid.

So I think there are two types of NEC sets, the original ones evolved out of the D term sets which are now called the Univerge sets....these appear to be high quality carrier grade PBX IP telephones. On the other hand NEC acquired the Nitsuko key systems a few years back and continue to manufacture phones for the low end almost consumer grade telephone system market. It's like they aren't even the same company.
