Channels locking up on Nortel Option 11 PRI NI-2 1

Has anyone experienced channel LCKO's on a Nortel Option 11 running Succession 4.0? This occurs on a PRI with a Variant of NI-2. The channels will work fine once they are initially brought up, but as time goes on, the channels will got into LCKO state. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Are you monitoring your D-Channel messages?

look at the ndec and fdec prompts in the route, set them to eth

Thanks johnpoole, we will make this changes as soon as possible, and let you know the results. Since the problem may take a week or more to manifest itself, it might be a while. We will go to monitoring the D channel if we have to worldwidedialtone, but we are really saving that for a last resort. Considering the amount of time it takes for the channels to lock up, and the randomness of it, we would be lucky to find anything useful. Thanks all!

We couldn't truly solve the problem, but thanks for all the suggestions. We had the CO change to Most Idle sequence selection, and that is "fixing" the problem. Thanks all!

Check how many channels are enabled on the ISDN. I had this problem but it turned out to be that we had 30 channels programmed and the carrier had only 20 enabled..

You can also check the PLOG for the DChannel in question. This works like the LCNT for T1's. Use the Maint manual to determine what the codes that are output mean. Once the PLOG is printed it is reset so make sure to print or capture the information. In ld 96 "PLOG DCH XX". Again refer to NTP's for output values.

another thing to check is to ld 96 stat serv, some apps need serv msgs enabled others will cause problems
