I am trying to get TIE trunks working between two sites. The T1 is being routed over a sonet ring controlled by Optera M3500 equipment. The spans on both ends will establish with a DTA023 and the D-channel will establish, but all the channels stay in MBSY.

Shortly after the DCH establishes, it sends a EST TIMER REC message and will occaisonally drop but comes back. During all of the the channels remain in MBSY on both ends.

Any ideas?

YOU STILL HAVE SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE DCH WHAT'S AT THE OTHER END OF THE NORTEL

OLD ROLMEN WORKING ON NORTELS

try and do a complete disable/enable sequence at both the PBXs
maybe thats all that is required.

match the settings of the csu on both ends

Thanks yall. I found the problem to be the Optera equipment was set to D4/AMI and my end was ESF/B8ZS. Not being familiar with how to configure the Optera units slowed me abit.
