the last channel in one of my T1s keeps going into LCKO (lockout). I've disabled and reenabled it and it keeps happening. I've reported the trouble to AT&T but in the meantime should I just leave the channel as disabled until it gets fixed? users have been complaining they're getting dead air. thanks.

I would disable the channel until you here from AT&T

chances are your vender (att) has this built as a 23 channel ckt. pri's are 23 t1's are 24. midnights may bring it up. i would out it until i could get a vender test person on line.. don't leave anything going up and down, no need to load your processor because of a trouble that belongs on someone else's plate

no, it's not a PRI, but we ported our voicemail POTS line over this T1, but in its own separate trunk group, which turns out is this channel (24). I haven't any idea at all what a separate trunk group even means, but that's what this channel is for.

Then what I would do is build a different RDB and put this channel in it. This way you can bring it back up and use it for voice mail if needed.
