Hello CE gurus

I have a potential problem I am seeking advice about.

We use CE10 Premium - WinAD Single Sign on.

The organisation has decided to change all WinAD account usernames from a 5 character alphanumeric acronym for each staff member - to their employee number (a 5 character alphanumeric username).

I currently have 4500 users on the CE system that will be affected.

How will the software relate the new usernames to the old ones? When the change is made - I believe CE will pickup all the new username accounts - but will not know how to relate them to the old ones. Is it a process of manually aliasing the new accounts to the old or is their another method of cleaning up we can look at?

Has anyone experienced a similar change you can share?

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Cheers

Hi,
CE may add the new ones( actually maybe not, if you brought them in as individual USERS and not as part of AD Groups) but CE, as you suspect, will have no way of 'knowing' that these are replacements
for existing accounts..That may also mean that unless AD handles the changes to any AD Group's member names you may have imported, you would have to reassign these new users to the existing groups..
