In an effort to clear up some toll fraud issues we are currently experiencing, I have been tasked with changing the default voicemail passcode length to 6 digits.

This is on a Mitel CXi controller running version 8.0.10.7_1 (old - I know).

What effect will this have on the 45 existing mailboxes?

Will this essentially reset all the passcodes to 111111 and when the user first checks their voicemail, they will be asked to change it or will it take their current passcode of 1234 (for example) and make it 123400 or neither?

Thanks in advance!

CAUTION: All passcodes on the system will be this new length— the Administrator passcode, the Manager passcode, as well as user passcodes. When increasing the length, one or more zeros are appended to the passcodes to make them the required length. For example, if a subscriber's passocde is 8220 and the length is increased by one, the new passcode will become 82200. Notify all subscribers before making passcode length changes.

It's questions such as these that I like to answer. I didn't know the answer, and you forced me to find out. I get to learn and help at the same time. The star is just icing on the cake. Thanks.
