I installed a system with with a 308 card and a 4 voicemail card. The factory default sets the voicemail on 10-13 can I change the mailboxes to a different station? How?

Also the factory default sets the attendant to ring st ation 10 if there is no prompt sellected can this be changed to a different extention?

You can't change the dial 0/timeout option, but when you log into the system administrator's mailbox (0#), option 1 is to assign a mailbox to an extension. The mailboxes are numbered 1 to 4. I usually work backwards from box no. 4 to box no. 1. I also assign unused mailboxes to the highest numbered extensions in the system (49, 48, etc) so calls don't accidently get transferred to the boxes that no one is checking.

Example: Need boxes for 13, 17, and 18.

Default Box 1=Ext. 10, Box 2=Ext. 11, Box 3=Ext. 12, Box 4=Ext. 13

Assign Box 4 to Ext. 49 (because no one is using it), Box 3 to Ext. 18, Box 2 to 17, and Box 1 to 13.

Follow the prompts, and document what you do for the next guy, and you should be fine!

Hi,
Don't forget to write your translation (mailbox# to ext#) down so you can manage the voicemail easier. The back of the admin. manual is a good spot. Just clarifying Tommy's excellent instructions.
