Hi all.
I am in the process of setting up Top Level AA on Rel 6.0 SP2.
I have 3 digit extensions and the Administrator Mailbox has 4 digits that is 9999. This makes me fail to create 3 digit mailboxes. I get "The entered value is out of range."
I would like therefore to reduce the mailbox digit length to 3. When I dial VM I get "Please enter your mailbox number" After entering 9999 I get the message "Im sorry the system isn"t configured to support this feature at this time"

What must I do to be able to access the Administrator Mailbox and procedure to reduce the length?

You need to enable TUI access via the VM Options form

Thanks. I have also set password for Admin, Manager and Tech and can now get into mailbox.
Just wondering if it is possible to just change the digit length and skip the recording of greeting message and business hours?
My interest lies with the digit length only. I already have a .wav file for the greeting and don't need to do it over the phone.

You can cancel out after changing the digit length and the change will still take effect, or record silence and replace later.

Created 3 digit matching extensions as transfer only. When I go to Mlaa and on key 1 I put the 3 digit mailbox, on saving I get error mailbox/ extension entered does not exist.
What is wrong and how can it be fixed?

I mean I created 3 digit length mailbox numbers matching existing extension numbers and then set mailbox type to transfer only.
When I save I get an error: A mailbox/ extension entered does not exist.
How can this be fixed for the mailboxes to accepted?

Is your voicemail running? Does it answer calls?

Best Guess, you recently licensed it and have not yet rebooted.

Yes voicemail is running. I can call the voicemail ports and they answer by saying please enter your mailbox number.

Just to be sure. I have done another reboot and still getting that error:A mailbox/ extension entered does not exist.

At this point all that makes sense is that something is being lost in translation.

Lets back up a moment. What software level are you running?

When you were in the Voicemail Options form, did you notice an entry for Mailbox length? If yes, what is that value now?

R6.0 SP2
Voicemail Options form does not have that for Mailbox length.
Enabled TUI.
Changed Mailbox length from the Administrator Mailbox.

Just did another reboot and the problem is still there.
Please assist.

Does the entry you are trying to associate to the menu exist in the vm mailbox form?

Can you try changing to an extension mailbox instead of transfer only.

Changing mailbox type from transfer only to extension gives the same error: A mailbox/ extension entered does not exist at VM MLAA.
Please assist further.

I feel there is something you are not telling us.

What exact form is producing this error? It looks like you are accessing the MLAA form but at this point I'm assuming nothing.

If you are infact accessing the MLAA form, what mailbox do you have assigned as a Menu Node?
