I have a Legend R6.1 using 12 channels of a T1 with DID. We are changing to a PRI. I read the FAQ on initial PRI setup. Very helpful. But do I have to do anything about the existing DID incoming routing by dial plan setting? Or are there any other "surprizes" to look out for!!

Maybe a little, maybe a lot.

Is the Service provider going to Match the D-I-D range?

Are they going to send the same amount of digits?

Will you be "porting" any numbers across?

You've got to consider all of the above to know if you need to do "extra things".

PRI programming in the Legend is rather flexible.

You can bring in one set of digits, and route them to a totally different extension.

But understand, if they "PORT" lines in, then you will have to steer them to either extensions or calling groups.

They will no longer really be LINES, only something in your EXTENSION side dial plan.

Yes, they will match range and digits. I'm not sure of the porting though!

I will porting number over. What should I expect?

Attitude is everthing.
