Hi Folks

This is something I've puzzled over for a while and, although I'm sure it's possible, I've got no idea how to do it ...

I've got a small button graphic for use on my website. The button is red but is shaded so that it looks 3D. I'd like to somehow change this red button to be green ... or blue ... or yellow ... while retaining 3D shading in the appropriate colour.

Can this be done?

Thanks,
Kenny.

You could select the parts you want to change separately (i.e. the inner and outer circle)

Then use Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation...

I have to give recognition to duncdudeas as he just covered the same subject in this thread...

Set an adjustment layer as Hue/Saturation and move the sliders as bkrike says above.

The clever bit: merge the layers and save the graphic as ButtonBlue.gif, then on the History pallette go back and the adjustment layer reappears. Move the sliders again, remerge, save as ButtonYellow/Red/Purple whatever.

Using the adjustment layer lets you get multiple shades of the same shaped button very quickly

Hope this helped
