Changing time on AD-64

I need to change time on our voicemail server. If I shut down voicemail services and then proceed to change time on server will I be okay. I ran into trouble once changing the time but can't remember what I did wrong.

Go into system manager, then manager options, then "would you like to change the system schedule?" Select "Yes", then it will ask if you want to change the system time.
