I have 07 Project and looking to change the current time so that the dashed-line that is down the middle that is earlier than the actual current date. For example, looking at the completion of tasks with respect to last month as opposed to this month.
Thanks

Current date" is the current date, you can't change that -- well, you could change the current date in your computer and that revised date would be picked up. And there is no way to completely hide the current date line.

If you want, you can add an additional line that will vary according to your requirements.[ul]
[li]In right hand Gantt display, RightMouseButton, select Gridlines, choose "Status Date" and set the properties for Type and Color.[/li]
[li]In the menu bars, click on Project > Project Information and look for "Status Date". Set that to the appropriate date and you're done.[/li]
[/ul]

You can hide this line later on by going back to Project > Project Information and setting the Status Date to "NA" (no quotes).

Just for quick clarification, you can set the display of the current date line to the top choice in the Type drop down to remove the line.

A quick clarification to Julie's quick clarification.

Forgot to mention that I'm on P2010. In P2010 I have found that I can hide the Current Date line by setting "Type" to anything other than blank and setting "Color" to White.

If I choose "Type" as blank and "Color" as white then I see a faint dotted line.

Interesting. Using Project 2010 I find if I set the Current line to "no line" without changes to line color it disappears.

I still see the Project Start dotted line and the Project Finish dotted line, but not Current Date line.
