Hello
I am creating my own app to allow our web users to change their passwords. These people are "outsiders" to our domain and have no access to the R5 NAB. Please don't suggest that I upgrade, it isn't my decision to make and there are valid reasons why it isn't possible to do at this time.
Until now we have been using a registration database that was downloaded from the Sandbox several years ago, but it's interface isn't very user friendly. It has been heavily modified by other people since it was downloaded so I'm not sure how much of it is original. I also don't want to make too many changes in there as I don't know what I might break.
This app uses a web query save agent to create a new change password document, then another agent modifies the password field in the Person doc in the NAB.
I'm thinking about having my web query save agent modify the Person doc in the NAB directly. Can anyone suggest any reasons why this would be a bad idea?
Being an admin, my primary concern is security.
