Changing the star tool on the fly

On a Mac with the star tool you can change the inner radius of the star by holding the option key and using the up and down arrows. Does anyone know if this can be done on a PC with CS2?

Yes it can. And you can also change the inset by using the left and right arrow keys

In Illustrator things work a little bit different than in InDesign.

To change the number of points of the star you use (while drawing) the up and down arrow keys, just like in InDesign

To change the spike of the star you hold down the CTRL key (when drawing) and drag outwards or inwards.
