Hello All, have a question on the SPRE code, can I change the SPRE code to say 8888 or 1111. I have some CDP's set to 10x and 13x, so not sure if I could use 1111? Presently the SPRE is set to 2, we are getting a new DID range in 2xxx and need to change.

Thanks for your help.

you can change the SPRE code in LD 15 (customer data block). If nothing in your switch uses 8 you can change it to that. Or, you can set up an IDC tree (incoming digit conversion) to convert your DID range 2xxx to an alternate ext. for example, convert 2000 to 3000. Then put 3000 on the phone.

Thanks Coniglio for the reply. I'm having one of those days!!!! Sorry I am still not clear. If I change it to say 1111 will that conflict with anything programmed in the PBX that begins with a 10 or 13. Or if I make it 2222, would that clear up the range of 2xxx, except for 2222?

Thanks again!

Your SPRE code cannot conflict with anything else. If you have something already programmed with 10 then you cannot use 1 as the SPRE. But you may be able to use 11 (assuming you don't have anything else starting with 11) give it a try. It'll SCH you if you can't anyway so you have nothing to lose. But if you make it 11 you can't then assign any exts like 110, 111, 112, etc. If you make it 2222 you can't then use anything in your PBX that starts with 2.
