Changing The size of static text

How the heck to I change the size of static text? I can't find how to do this ANYWHERE.<br>

are we talking static as in a char something[20] and you wana change it to [30] or are we talking about a visual C++ componet?<br>

Actually I was talking about the size of the text that is displayed in a window. I got around the problem by creating a image :)
