We have, accidently, created our server with Eastern Daylight Time, EDT, as it's location. We are really in PDT. How do I make this change to my server?

change the date and time using this command:

date -s

syntax is: date -s HH:MM

then write this new time to your CMOS clock so the changes are not lost at reboot...

clock -uw

this is for my distro.. u might wanna check yoz, but if it's Linux.. it might be the same...

good luck

Hi,

It varies by distro, but in Redhat you can change the timezone using the /sbin/linuxconf' command under the 'control' tab. The actual config file used is /etc/sysconfig/clock.

Otherwise check-out --> .
