I am creating MSIs and have found that one program I want to turn into an MSI stores a registry key under HKEY-CURRENT-USER.

I have assumed that this key will not be used by all network users of the network and so want to move the key to HKEY-USERS. The questions are:

If I move it, will the program still reference the new key?
Will this make the settings available to all roaming users?

the hkey_users has .default and logged on users as children nodes.
if you add this key to .default, i think it will occur only for new logons with a new local profile creatd on the PC.

you might be better off using a logon script that adds the key to the current user, for each user that logs on.., using a .reg file....
and of course, test see if it works.
