Here is the situation.
We needed to install 2 servers with 2003 Enterprise.
The client didn't give us a product key so we used a product key from our Enterprise server until we installed it onsite.
Once we installed it onsite and tried to change the product key, we noticed that it was requesting us to activate it.
Now the client gave us the legal VLK and when we try to change the product key it says that it is a bad key.
The only thing that we can think is that the version that we installed is not a VLK version. Is there a way to change the version of the OS to allow us to put in there VLK.
Thanks in Advance

You can only change keys to the same version (standard vs. enterprise), and the same licensing type (retail vs. open vs. volume vs. OEM)
