I have a MAGIX system, and I'm using WinSPM V4.0. I have an exec who wants his DID to ring 4x before ringing to the receptionist. To me, this is a coverage group. Using Standard SPM, I set both the primary, secondary and group coverage for his extension to 4 rings. However, I'm told that it only rings 3x. Is there some other place that this is set? To be honest, I also do not see how the coverage runs from his extension to the receptionist. Everyone seems to be in the same coverage group (30). I have the nagging feeling I'm looking in the wrong spot. Any help would be great.

Well- what you should do is program a primary coverage button for his extention# on the Operator console - and set that coverage button to delayed ring. Then change primary coverage for his extention under: Menu, System Program, Start/Exit, Extentions, More, More, Cover Delay, Primary and press enter - the default is 3 rings - meaning the Operator phone would ring on the 3rd ring - so backspace out the 3 and keyin a 4 and press enter. See if that works for you.
