Changing the Meridian Mail default messages?

We run a Opt51 with a MM v12 and there is some talk going around about changing the automated voice directions people get when they call in to leave a voice mail after hours and get the automated attendant that says the “please type the last name followed by the first name…” etc etc. They are hoping to make it easier for people who call in by giving more detailed directions.

Is it possible, and if so how, to change this to something more customized?

SOUNDS LIKE YOU JUST WANT TO CHANGE THE GREETING.(FOR DIRECTIONS) OF YOUR BUS. YOU JUST NEED TO RE-RECORD THE MSG. POST WHAT OPT. YOU WANT TO HAVE CHANGED THEN JUST MAYBE WE COULD LEND YOU A HAND
 
I agree, Sounds like you need to find out what "Thru dial service ID" it is and simply go into "Prompt Maintenance" and update the greeting. It sounds like your using the default. Look through your main menu and find the TS (thru dial service) it is using and then go to Thru Dial Defintions and look at that particular ID (number). Write the ID down and the update password. Then goto your Voice Services DN table and find what extension you need to dial for PM (Prompt Maintenance). Then simply dial into it and use the ID and update password and it will walk you through the rest. To find these items log into mail and goto option 3, then option 4, then you should see the choices for you to find what you need. Good Luck
