Changing the IP Address of the SQL Server Box

My customer wants to change the IP Address of the server which has SQL Server 7 installed but are keeping the name of the machine.

Is this possible and are there any amendments or actions required?

This shouldn't be a problem - SQL clients will find the machine based on machine name, and changing IP address won't interfere with that.

If you do have any problems then in the very worst case they should disappear if you also restart the networks Wins/DNS server (if they have one) and the client machines.
