Hi.

I am a newbie.

Is it possible to Change the IP address of a server using CGI bash commands?

If it is, can some one give me basic CGI code to do this?

Please assist

The CGI indicates only the way the script communicates with its environment.

Your question would be better asked as :
[ul]
[li]Is it possible to Change the IP address of a server using bash commands? - Yes. See [tt]ifconfig[/tt]. Or see your distribution's network configuration tool.[/li]
[li]Is a CGI script allowed to run commands which change the IP address ? - Possible, but definitely should not. Changing IP address should require root privileges and CGI scripts should never acquire root privileges.[/li]
[/ul]
