gurus,
just want to check from you. I have 4 hard disks namely hdisk0-hdisk3. hdisk 0 and hdisk 1 are 73GB and the rest are 18GB. I am using F80 machine and unfortunately my rootvg is residing on hdisk 2 and hdisk3 which is on another cage and not on the primary. The rest of the disks which is hdisk0 and hdisk1 happened to be the 73GB and sitting on the first scsi of the F80. Now, i want to shift the rootvg hdisks to the first scsi cage, can i just pull out the disks and put it in the server? Will it boot properly or any other things i need to do before doing so?

Thanks alot!

you could do an alt_disk_install then change your boolist to reflect hdisk0/1 to bootfrom. That way if it doesn't boot you still have the orginal boot disks

Just out of curiosity, why does it matter where the disks are or what their hdisk names are that contain rootvg, as long as you can boot from them?
