Our MICS (5.0) at corporate currently has DN's that fall in the 2xxx scheme.
We are going to be getting a DID range within the next several weeks. Unfortunately, the only range that was available in our town is 1xxx.
We want to change our extensions to match the last 4-digits of the DID's.
The way I see it, we have 2 options:
1) Either perform **STARTUP programming & have the system automatically setup the extensions accordingly (including the B channels)
2) Change every DN manually. I do not have a problem with this option, as we have done a lot of customization of the phone system, and would hate to have us (and our vendor) miss something.
If all "A" channel DN's get changed to 1xxx, will the MICS be "smart" enough to automatically renumber all of the "B" channels, or do we also have to do that?
I just want to free-up the "2" prefix for future expansion.
