I have a form with a subform that is based on a table. One of the fields in the table has a default value. I would like to change the default value based on the current value in an edit box on the form. My intent is to autopopulate a field that is not visible in the subform when a new record is added.

For anything I've tried so far I'm told that I can't change the table while it is open.

Any Ideas?

Thanks

Try removing the default value property of the table, and use the default value property of the form control in stead.

Thanks, Roy-Vidar. It took me awhile to make it all work, but I'm learning.
