Changing the background colour of a cell in Word 2000

Hi,

I am using Word 2000 to generate reports. I the cursor positioned in the current cell I wish to change the colour of....

...How do I change the colour??

I tried this but I got an error! :-(
Selection.Cells.Shading.BackgroundPatternColor = wdColorGray30
