I encountered an iMac with the apple menu altered in the following way:

Force Quit...
Force Quit

Restart...
Restart

Log Out xxxxxx...
Log Out xxxxxx

Shut Down...
Shut Down

The items without the trailer periods would perform the actions without a prompt.

Without using something like "FruitMenu" how would this be done?

Thanks.

There are various utilities that allow you to change the menu bar. Try going to versiontracker.com and search.
