Hey
I have a Avaya Ip office with a UC110 Module running One-x Portal and I suspect their webtraffic software (mailMarshall) is causing issues on port 8080 but there is no documentation on how to change the port to something else when running One-X Portal on the UC Module.
Does anyone know if this can be done? and of so how?
I have done it easily when running One-X on a server.

As the documents says "the port can only be changed during installation", but TBH I have not seen that option in a UC implementation and if it pops up somewere I missed it.

On Windows it can be set during installation. But in Linux (UCM, App Server, server edition) the package comes pre-installed. So I don't think there is an option. Perhaps you can find the tomcat config file and change port, but no one will know if an upgrade will change the port back to standard...

I can't see why the port on the One-x should cause a problem with anything else on the network.

why would their software be trying to access port 8080 of the UCM?
this is probably something that needs looking act, fix the fault rather than mask the symptoms.

Thank you for your responses
When you do a One-X install on a server you get the option to change the port 8080 during the installation, however when you install a UC module the One-X is automatically loaded and there is no option to change the port. There is no mention of how to change the port in the Installation Documentation when One-x is on a UC module.
Some firewall software like MailMarshall use 8080 to monitor the web traffic and rather than change their whole network it is often easier to change the One-X to avoid conflicts.
We have put the One-X URL into the exception list but it has not fixed the issues.

Some of the issues are the status is set i.e "I am away till 3pm" and can be seen by other users untill they log off the computer and it disappears. They also get their available not available come on and off randomly after logging in and out. And the response to the One-X actions are slow. (and yes the server has more than the specified requirements)and I have upgraded to 9.0.6 to fix known issues.

I hope this clarify's the situation better.

Which server? The UCM specifications are always the same.

You should be able to connect OneX Portal using HTTPS through port 9443. That should work as a workaround.
